A New Type of Book Fair - Shop from Home!

I have some great news for our school. In addition to our Scholastic Book Fair, we are having a new type of book fair that will excite, motivate and encourage students and parents to explore reading.
We all understand the critical role that strong literacy skills play in every child’s success. We can all inspire our children to discover and explore the world through their development of strong reading habits. Your children have a wide range of reading skills and a vast array of interests. That’s why we have partnered with a new Book Fair company that I think you will welcome. Big Noodle Books allows our students to explore thousands of titles within their skill level and interest. Parents and students will be able to go to a website and shop from home. Books will be delivered to the home at a minimal cost ($4.00 delivery, no matter how much you order).
Watch for more information coming home with your children soon!

Signatures in Space

The poster with our signatures successfully traveled to space and back on the Space Shuttle Discovery. The mission was from February 24th until March 9th and was the final mission for the Discovery. The mission included delivering Robonaut 2 (aka R2), the first human–like robot to the International Space Station, where he will reside. Check out www.NASA.gov for more information.
